Terms of Service

1. Agreement and eligibility

By downloading, accessing, or using Milestone, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service. You must be legally able to enter into this agreement. If you use Milestone for another person or organization, you represent that you have authority to do so.

2. What Milestone provides

Milestone helps organize vehicle information, maintenance records, reminders, estimates, and savings information. Features may use manufacturer guidance, user-entered information, third-party data, and automated or AI-assisted processing.

3. Important vehicle-safety notice

Milestone is an organizational and informational tool—not a mechanic, diagnostic system, warranty, inspection, recall service, or substitute for your owner’s manual or advice from a qualified automotive professional.

Maintenance dates, mileage intervals, status labels, prices, savings, and AI-generated results may be incomplete, approximate, delayed, or wrong. Never ignore a warning light, recall, unusual sound, safety concern, manufacturer instruction, or professional recommendation because of information in Milestone. You are responsible for inspecting, maintaining, and safely operating your vehicle.

4. Accounts and your information

You are responsible for information submitted through your account and for keeping access to your device and account secure. Provide information you have the right to use. You may use Milestone as a guest where available, but some syncing, recovery, and support features may be limited.

5. Milestone Pro subscription

Milestone Pro is offered as an automatically renewing annual subscription. The price, billing period, included features, and any trial are shown before purchase. If a seven-day free trial is displayed and you are eligible, billing begins when the trial ends unless you cancel beforehand.

Payment is charged to your Apple ID through the App Store. The subscription renews automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Apple may charge your account within 24 hours before renewal. Manage or cancel in iPhone Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions. Deleting the app or your Milestone account does not cancel the subscription. Apple controls billing, refunds, trial eligibility, and payment processing. Restore Purchases is available in the app.

6. Your content

You keep ownership of content you submit. You give Milestone a limited, non-exclusive license to host, transmit, process, reproduce, and format that content only as reasonably necessary to provide, secure, support, and improve the service. Do not submit content that is unlawful, infringing, malicious, or exposes another person’s private information without permission.

7. Acceptable use

You may not misuse Milestone, interfere with its operation, attempt unauthorized access, reverse engineer it except where law permits, upload malicious code, abuse automated systems, scrape the service, impersonate another person, manipulate feature-request voting, or use the service unlawfully.

8. Third-party services

Milestone depends on third-party services, including Apple, Supabase, OpenAI, PostHog, RevenueCat, and NHTSA. Their services and terms may apply separately. We are not responsible for third-party services, availability, content, or decisions. Your license to the iOS app is also subject to Apple’s Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement where applicable.

9. Ownership

Milestone and its software, branding, designs, and content are owned by Milestone or its licensors and protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. These Terms give you a personal, limited, revocable, non-transferable right to use the service for its intended purpose.

10. Changes, suspension, and termination

We may change, add, suspend, or discontinue features, and may suspend or terminate access when reasonably necessary for security, legal compliance, abuse prevention, or a material violation of these Terms. You may stop using Milestone at any time and may delete a signed-in account from the app. Provisions that by their nature should survive will survive termination.

11. Disclaimers

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Milestone is provided “as is” and “as available.” We disclaim implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We do not promise uninterrupted operation, error-free results, specific savings, or that every maintenance need, recall, defect, or unsafe condition will be identified. Consumer rights that cannot legally be waived remain unaffected.

12. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Milestone and its operators, affiliates, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, loss of data, lost profits, vehicle damage, repair costs, or personal injury arising from reliance on the service. Where liability cannot be excluded, total liability will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid Milestone during the 12 months before the claim or US $50. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so they may not apply to you.

13. Changes

We may update these Terms. We will update the effective date and provide additional notice when required. Continued use after an update takes effect means you accept the revised Terms.
